Can be added to beverages, custard based desserts and to yogurts.

May Sorbet


  • 60 ml dried sweet woodruff
  • 240 ml ginger ale
  • 240 ml white wine
  • 720 ml water
  • 180 ml sugar
  • Peel of 1⁄2 lemon
  • 240 ml chopped strawberries


  • Combine the sweet woodruff, the ginger ale and the white wine in a non aluminum covered container
  • Let sit at room temperature for 2 days
  • Stir periodically
  • Strain out sweet woodruff and discard
  • Place the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve the sugar
  • Add lemon peel, cover with a pan and let steep for 30 minutes
  • Remove the peel and discard
  • Combine the sugar water and the sweet woodruff-steeped wine
  • Add the strawberries and freeze
